On July 23, 2009, participants from The Arc’s Life Enrichment program attended a San Antonio Silver Stars basketball game. Gail Tondre, a 2009 Achiever of the Year for The Arc of San Antonio, was one of 5 fans who received a keepsake basketball from a player as the team came onto the court before the game. Congratulations Gail!

The season of giving is here! A group of our young adults delivered complete turkey dinners to six San Antonio families. Five of the dinners were donated by our West Ave. neighbors, First Assembly of God, and the sixth was put together with contributions from Arc participants and staff. Thanks to all who participated and give back to our community!
Tracy Wolff, Diana Liebmann, Claudia Storhoff, Jack Minter, Pam Stephens and Gordon Hartman cut the ribbon at the dedication of the Pam Stephens Center. On October 1st, The Arc of San Antonio celebrated the opening of the Pam Stephens Center with a dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony. This new facility is a second site for The Arc’s childcare and life enrichment programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities. The next goal for the Pam Stephens Center is to raise $280,000 to turn the former YMCA swimming pool into an accessible aquatic center for people with disabilities. You can help by donating online with a designation to “The Pam Stephens Center” or mail your contribution to: The Arc of San Antonio Attn: Pam Stephens Center Campaign 13430 West Ave. San Antonio, Texas 78216

On December 11th, volunteers from USAA held a Christmas party for participants at The Arc. Everyone received a gift from their Christmas wish list. Santa and his USAA helpers delivered the gifts along with cookies and punch. A special thank you to USAA for their generosity and holiday spirit!
