2022 Roses & Races: A Gala Party

For more than 67 years, The Arc of San Antonio has created inclusive spaces in our community for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families. Whether through providing a supportive daytime program for adults with IDD, enabling them to build skills and their caregivers to maintain employment, or through opening doors to new realities for families by providing care coordination and case management support for their loved ones with IDD, we are committed to actively creating better spaces for our community.

We need your partnership to continue living our mission. We invite you to join us for the 2022 Roses & Races: A Gala Party, planned for 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022. This event, held at Hyatt Hill Country Resort, will be a night of fun and friendship, cocktails, dinner, silent and live auctions, and The Race for Independence!

The events of the past 18 months have tested us, but the team has risen to the challenge. When the pandemic began, our case managers transitioned to virtual client visits without missing a beat. And we started bringing The Arc to hundreds of homes across San Antonio when we launched virtual day programming for the first time. Since then, we’ve provided over 3,500 hours of virtual programming for free. Our state funding loss is now more than $1.3 million.  With both of our day program locations now open to about 35 percent of our population, we are safely returning more participants to in-person service. Still, the financial impact of the past year-and-a-half will linger, and your contribution is more important than ever.
