The Arc’s Outreach and Family Support Services staff works with families and caregivers to develop and implement plans that address the immediate and long-term needs of children and adults with I/DD including crisis intervention, funding for services, educational options, residential placement, habilitation and vocational programs. Comprehensive case management, advocacy and referral services connect families to community resources and support networks.
The Family Support Services Director also coordinates social, recreational, and cultural activities. The Arc hosts six social dances and twelve arts and craft nights per year that are open to individuals with I/DD throughout the community. This program is supported by funding from United Way and revenue generated from contracts with local school districts.
