Volunteer

Come volunteer with
The Arc!

Our volunteers are great examples of our core values – Inclusion, Integrity, Compassion, Teamwork, and Passion – and have been dubbed our “ambassadors of fun.”

Volunteers include recent retirees who are looking to stay active, college students exploring potential career paths, families who want to learn more about their communities, and corporate groups giving back.

What can volunteers do?

Volunteers can get involved with several different activities from sports and recreation to arts and culture to special events and leisure activities. The Arc offers a wide range of opportunities, and we are committed to finding the right fit for you and the people we support.

Volunteer for the Adult Life Enrichment Program

Assist in the onsite activities at The Arc – you would assist the direct care staff in the project outlined, creating a safe and inclusive educational environment by conversing with participants, encouraging participants’ independence, and helping with tasks that aid the flow of activities.
Available times: Between 9:00 am – 3:00 p.m.

Life Skills and Employement/Volunteer Opportunities

We want to open participants to others’ hobbies, skills, business experience, etc. This could be a one- to two-hour workshop about a hobby, professional skill set, your passion for gardening, money management, what you know about fixing cars or starting your own business!
Available times: Between 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Group volunteers

can get involved with several different activities, from sports and recreation to special events and leisure activities. A group can be as small as two people, or as large as 15. Whether you are with a school organization, a corporation, or a church group – or if you are looking to volunteer once, or on a recurring basis – we can work with you to find a volunteer activity.
